Overall Rating
I give this camera/security system a 9/10.
Summary
I love my Eufy cameras. I have a doorbell camera, inside one to watch my dog while I’m at work, and a few others outside my house. This system has exceeded my expectations. I love that I don’t have to pay a monthly fee to use these cameras. This specific bundle also comes with a Homebase that has room for additional storage. That being said, I have never really had issues with storage. I am not someone who keeps every interaction, so I have no problem with deleting the stored footage every once in awhile.
Another good thing is that you can set zones for the cameras to look for movement. I set zones that ignore the road, but that is just because I have an obnoxiously long driveway and live on a busy road. I never get car motion alerts anymore unless they are entering or exiting my driveway. The cameras seem to learn to differentiate movement and will also tell you whether it is a person or just motion. These specific ones actually learn common faces.

Setting up my cameras was a breeze and I was able to connect them and install them in less than an hour.
The Bad
I didn’t give these cameras a better rating for 2 reasons. The first is that the app sometimes struggles to open up the video. Not a huge issue and I’ve found that if I just close and re-open the app, it will then work. Its just inconvenient.
Second, Eufy had a bit of a security issue a few years ago. They also never apologized for it. From what I found, if you sent the thumbnails of the motion alerts to your phone, people could hack your system and see those thumbnails. I just don’t have the thumbnails sent to me. I still get an alert that someone was spotted or motion was detected, but I have to open the app to see the video. Takes me an extra few seconds, so it is a minor inconvenience to me. You may refuse to use these cameras because of the security issue and that is completely understandable, but it just isn’t a deal breaker to me.
In conclusion, I love these cameras and the negatives are minor inconveniences to me, so I rate this camera system 9/10.
