Zevo Flying Insect Traps are plug-ins that use UV light and sticky paper to attract flying insects and trap them.

Pros:
These fly taps are unobtrusive and relatively effective for fruit flies and gnats. The UV light isn’t harsh, and I do like that you are able to place this wherever you have an outlet. Another large pro is that it is so inexpensive; you buy it once and don’t need to change anything until the sticky paper is full. The dead bugs are hidden in the back, so no one can see them, which adds a level of cleanliness. The biggest selling point for my family and I is that there are no chemicals or smells.
Cons:
My biggest issue with these traps is that they have never caught a house fly or mosquito in my house. I live in the boonies, and I occasionally get them in the house. I have to run around with the electrified tennis racket instead of these doing the work for me. I can turn out all the lights, try to lure them to the traps, doesn’t matter. The next thing is that they seem to lose effectiveness, even if the sticky trap isn’t full. Right now, I have an issue with fruit flies because I missed an orange before I went on vacation.
The cartridges aren’t super expensive, but the cost adds up. Especially because the company recommends that you evaluate whether you need a new cartridge.
Lastly, the traps only work in a pretty small area. You may need one or two for each room based on how large or small your rooms.
Rating:
I rate these products a 5/10.
They work for the small flies, but not for anything much larger than a fruit fly. The expense can add up pretty fast. While these are a good option to passively deal with a fruit fly issue, it does require patience and time. The passivity and no chemicals are the two main reasons that I do like this product.
Overall, I think the pros and cons are pretty balanced and so it receives a 5/10 from me.
